The use of tantalum foil in lamps

1. High Pressure Gas Discharge Lamp (HID)
The production of high-pressure gas discharge lamps, such as high-pressure sodium lamps (HPS) and metal halide lamps (MH), may involve the use of tantalum foils or tantalum materials. Tantalum foil is used as an electrode material in these bulbs, especially for the encapsulation and isolation parts of the electrodes. Because of its excellent high temperature and corrosion resistance, tantalum foil can work stably in the environment of high pressure gas discharge, thereby extending the service life of the lamp and improving the stability of the light source.
