Ta7.5W (92.5%tantalum, 7.5%tungsten) alloy has the great properties of strong corrosion resistance. Comparied to many metals, Ta7.5W is more resistant to high temperature and mineral acid corrosion.
At 180˚C temperature，the corrosion rate of Ta-7.5W in 98% sulfuric acid is 0.0076mm·a-1. At 210˚C temperature，the corrosion rate of Ta-7.5W in 98% sulfuric acid is 0.033mm·a-1. At room temperature, elongation of Ta7.5W is greater than 26%.

Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, Ta-7.5w alloy is mainly used to make spring materials such as chlorinator springs wire for chemical corrosion equipment.
