What is 97.5 % tantalum 2.5 % tungsten/UNS Grade R05252?

Ta-2.5W pipe and Ta2.5W wire have high melting point and corrosion resistance.

In addition, Tantalum-2.5%Tungsten has good cold working performance.

Tantalum 2.5W tube has strong resistance to high temperature and mineral acid corrosion. Tantalum 2.5W has a very high thermal conductivity, which is more than twice that of titanium and about four times that of nickel-based alloys.

The application of Ta-2.5W Alloys

Because of its strong resistance to high temperature and mineral corrosion, Ta-2.5W tube is often used for processing into chemical reaction vessels, heat exchangers, pipes, thermocouples.

Ta-2.5W has high thermal conductivity, so it is used to make U-shaped tubes, condensers, bayonet heaters, spiral coils.
