What is Zirconium R60705 (Zr2.5%Nb alloys)?

705 zirconium alloy is an important alloy material with high strength and high temperature corrosion resistance. It is mainly composed of two elements, zirconium (Zr) and niobium (Nb), so it is also known as zirconium-niobium alloy. Among them, the content of zirconium is more than 90%, and the content of niobium is between 2% and 3%.

Zirconium 2.5 niobium has good corrosion resistance to acid, alkali and salt. Zirconium 2.5niobium plate, zirconium 2.5niobium rod, zirconium 2.5niobium foil, zirconium 2.5niobium wire have good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties to 300 ~ 400℃ high temperature and high pressure water and steam.

The application of Zirconium R60705 (Zr2.5Nb alloys)

UNS R60705 zirconium plate, UNS R60705 zirconium rod, UNS R60705 zirconium foil, UNS R60705 zirconium wire has excellent mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, so it is widely used in aerospace, nuclear engineering, chemical industry and other fields.

Zr 705 is used as a cladding material for heavy water reactors, nuclear power plants and submarine reactors. Zirconium 2.5 niobium is suitable for operation under high load and pressure. Zirconium 2.5 niobium performs well in seawater. Zirconium R60705 is suitable for applications requiring radiation protection such as nuclear engineering. 705 zirconium alloy can be processed by overforging, hot rolling, cold rolling, etc., to make a variety of complex shapes of parts. Zirconium 705 is used in the manufacture of aeroengine components, turbine blades, chemical equipment and pipes. In the medical field, zirconium 705 alloy is used in the manufacture of artificial joints and implant devices.
