When temperature is in range of 1100 ~ 1650℃, Niobium tungsten alloy (NB521) has higher strength, good welding performance when normal metal. Because Nb-5W-2Mo-1Zr alloys has good room temperature plasticity, it can be made into thin sheets and complex parts easily.
Niobium tungsten alloy (Nb-5W-2Mo-1Zr) is widely used in liquid rocket engine due to its excellent high temperature performance.
NB521 can completely meet the high temperature performance requirements of engine fuselage.

The low-carbon niobium tungsten alloy is normally purified by vacuum electron beam melting, and then homogenized by vacuum consumable arc melting.
This method of preparing Nb 521 alloys ingot can not only homogenize the main alloy elements W, Mo and Zr, but also make the content of oxygen meet the demands.
