What is 53Nb-47Ti Alloys Rod & Bar

The NbTi superconducting rod exhibits superconductivity at low temperatures. The resistance of Nb53%-Ti47% alloys bar becomes zero when the rod exceeds its critical temperature. The Nb-47Ti bar is the ideal material for making superconducting cables.

Nb53%Ti47% alloys rod is resistant to magnetic field disturbance.
In a fusion environment, there may be magnetic field perturbations generated by the reaction.

These cables deliver current with reduced resistance losses, so they can transmit power more efficiently over long distances. Fusion reactors typically use superconducting coils to generate and maintain strong magnetic fields. NbTi alloys superconducting rod made of Columbium NbTi alloys can become these superconducting coils.
