Tantalum rods have strong corrosion resistance to most acids, alkalis and salts at room temperature. Tantalum bars form an oxide film in the air. This oxide film makes the Ta rods resistant to oxidation.At high temperatures, tantalum bars do not react to most chemicals.Tantalum rods are an ultra-high temperature metal.
Tantalum rods have a very high melting point. Tantalum rod has good ductility and plasticity. At high temperatures, tantalum rods can be stretched and rolled into tantalum foils and tantalum wires. Tantalum rods have very good electrical and thermal conductivity.
