The density of tantalum sheet is 16.6 g/cm3, the melting point is up to 2996℃, and it has good high temperature resistance and electrical conductivity.
Tantalum plates have extremely high corrosion resistance and do not react to hydrochloric acid, concentrated nitric acid and aqua regia under hot and cold conditions. Tantalum sheet can be corroded in hot concentrated sulfuric acid, below 150℃, tantalum plate will not be corroded by concentrated sulfuric acid, only at higher temperatures will react.
