Tantalum-10 tungsten foil is an ultra-thin strip made by precise rolling from an alloy containing 10% tungsten and 90% tantalum. The typical thickness range of Ta-10W foil is 0.01 to 0.5mm. Special processes can be used to prepare micron-sized films. The melting point of Tantalum alloys Ta-10W strip is as high as over 3000°C (2996°C for pure tantalum foil and 3422°C for pure tungsten foil), and it maintains high strength at 1800° C. Its oxidation resistance is superior to that of pure tantalum foil.
Tantalum 10% tungsten strip inherits the ultimate corrosion resistance of tantalum. Tantalum-10% tungsten foil can resist extreme media such as boiling concentrated hydrochloric acid, aqua regia, and molten alkali metals.
Ta-10W R05255 foil combines the hardness of tungsten foil with the processability of tantalum foil.
