Material properties of 90 % tantalum 10 % tungsten wire
1. High strength: The solid solution strengthening of tungsten significantly enhances the strength of tantalum, making it particularly suitable for high-stress environments.
2.Good ductility (in annealed state): Can be processed into fine wires or complex shapes.
3.Cold work hardening: By cold drawing, the strength can be further enhanced, but the plasticity decreases.
Tantalum-10 tungsten wire maintains excellent performance even at high temperatures
1.High-temperature strength: It still maintains an tensile strength of 200 - 400 MPa at 1000°C.
2.Creep resistance: Superior to pure tantalum, suitable for long-term high-temperature loading (such as rocket nozzles).
3.Oxidation behavior: Begins to undergo significant oxidation above 600°C and requires coating protection (such as silicide coating).

The applications of tantalum 10% tungsten alloys wire in 6 major fields. 1. High-temperature vacuum equipment: Ta-10W wire is used as a heating element in vacuum furnaces, for semiconductor single crystal growth (such as sapphire crystal furnaces), and high-temperature sintering furnaces. 90%Tantalum10%tungsten alloys wire is also used as a component in aerospace and rocket parts, serving as rocket nozzles, satellite propellant components, and high-temperature resistant components for satellite propulsion. 2. Electronics and semiconductor industry: 90%Ta-10%W wire is used as an electron emitter material, for X-ray tubes and cathode/anode of high-power electron tubes. 90Ta10W alloys wire is used as a semiconductor sputtering target material, for depositing high dielectric constant (High-k) films. 3. Chemical corrosion prevention equipment: Ta10%W wire is used as a corrosion-resistant reaction vessel, for inner linings, pipes, and stirring shafts in environments with strong acids and strong alkalis. Tantalum 10 tungsten wire is used as an electrode in the electrolytic industry, for corrosion-resistant anodes in the chlor-alkali process. 4. Medical and biological implants: Ta-10W wire is used as surgical sutures/bone nails due to its good biocompatibility and long-term non-degradation. It is also used as a radioactive treatment marker, with high X-ray visibility, for tumor localization. 5. Military and special purposes: Because high-density alloys enhance the penetration power of armor, tantalum tungsten allyos wire is used as the material for armor-piercing ammunition. In nuclear industrial components, it is used as a neutron absorption material and radiation-resistant structural components. 6. 3D printing of high-melting-point metals: As an additive manufacturing raw material, tantalum 10 tungsten wire is used for laser selective melting (SLM) printing of complex components such as turbine blades.
Tantalum 10 tungsten wire, with its unparalleled corrosion resistance, high strength and biological safety, demonstrates irreplaceable advantages in the field of wastewater treatment (especially for the treatment of highly corrosive and highly toxic wastewater). The long Tantalum 10 tungsten wire and Ta-7.5W wire are processed into Tantalum 10W springs and Tantalum 7.5W springs, which are used in chlorinator springs. Tantalum 10 tungsten wire is used to produce the core electrodes of electrolytic wastewater treatment systems, for high-salt wastewater electrolysis treatment, electro-catalytic oxidation of organic pollutants, electro-cathodes for heavy metal recovery, corrosion-resistant conductors for pH/ORP probes, online heavy metal monitoring electrodes, thickness detection wires for biofilms, microwave plasma water treatment devices, electro-dialysis desalination modules, and ultraviolet photocatalytic reactors.
